Current musings.



Nice to be working 'old school style' - low polygon mesh without the use of Normal maps, although a high detail version was sculpted in Zbrush to obtain an ambient occlusion map for the texture.

Fat bloke head



Fat blokes head sculpting, fairly happy with the level of detail so far. keeping the beard and sideburns as seperate models and not sculpted on as I want a proper hairy feel to them. Might take photographs of my own face to use as textures for this guy then use Spotlight to apply them. ( I'd usually just take a grab of the UVs into Photoshop and paint them. )


Found a new shader for Zbrush which shows the highlights and creases to a better effect.

Maus Tank

Something none-character based this time, a WW2 German Maus which is being built for a small live action movie. I've taken a number of liberties which the 'rivet counters' might spot.
The tank only appears in a mid-distance shot, crashed through a wall and on fire. So my detailing will no doubt be lost lol.
